A wireless message from the Byrd Antarctic expedition in Little America, stated: • Rear-Admiral Byrd,' with . a .pilot, flying in the autogyro today, located the monoplane .which was forced down yesterday 15 miles south-west of'the camp. . .• The pilot and wireless operator of the monoplane, William Bowlin and Clay Bailey, were sleeping comfortably and were in no danger. ’ '*• ■- On his return flight to direct dog drivers to the scene, Rear-Admiral Byrd landed near a party of. ; these men about nine-. miles ..froiu. the camp.
