CLUBMEN AT PLAY
WIN FOR COUNTRY. FIRST INNINGS SLUMP. RAGE WITH TOIE. Racing against lime after their opponents had declared, the cricketing members of the Whangarei Gentlemen's Chib who live in town failed on Tuesday afternoon to retrieve the position in the annual match with their country fellow members. The game was played at the Reclamation. Much was seen of the crooked bat, and. running between the wickets flagged at certain intervals, but the game was replete with amnsemenl and incident.
