(Received 9 a.m.) ] RUGBY, March 20. | A bill designed to reduce road aceiI dents is to be introduced in the House of Commons next week by the Minisi ter of Transport, Mr Oliver Stanley, j The measure will provide for the ; division of certain roads into traffic lanes, within which cars will have to i keep, except when overtaking other j vehicles, j Also, provision will be made for the ■ erection of barriers along the middle jof great main roads to restrict the number of vehicles that will be able to travel in line. The bill further will deal with the pedestrian avlio jeopardises his own life and that of other users of the road by ignoring signs and signals.
