GRENADE SHATTERS CAR
STAETLING EUMOUE. ATTEMPT TO KILL GOERING. (Received 1 ..“*0 p.m.) BERLIN, March 21. Rumours of an attempt to assassinate the Premier of Prussia, General Goering, have arisen in consequence of the throwing of an egg-shaped hand grenade into a taxi cab in the Untcr don Linden, occupied by an Austrian Jew 7 , Herr David Oliver, ownier of a chain of cinemas, including the Berlin Capital, wdiere the British film “Catherine the 'Great,” starring the GermanJew’ish actress Elizabeth Bergner, was banned earlier this month. The 'Chauffeur of the taxi was severely injured by the bomb explosion, but Herr Oliver w r as hardly scratched. The car w r as totally wrecked.
