MANGAMUKA
A large meeting of settlors was hold at the Mangamuka bridge to discuss the erection of a hall in the vicinitv of the bridge. Mr M. Mulcahy was ih .the chair. , /the recommendations of the com thittee set up to go into ways and jtileane wore hoard and thoroughly discard'd. It was decided to canvass the district for as much money as possible, by way of donations or loans; that the various local bodies, golf, tennis aid social clubs, Women’s Institutes., ahd Settlers’ Association, each bold a dance; and that when finances can be arranged, a hall 60ft by Soft, with a 10ft lean-to, be built. .
