POPULAR NATIONAL MAGAZINE.
Increasing numbers of New Zealanders arc recognising gladly that the “Now Zealand Railways Magazine” has won a definite place as a national monthly in the publishing field. Of course, such a magazine keeps the people in helpful touch with their own railways, but there is nothing coldly official in the enterprise. Indeed, the majority of the features are not concerned at all with railway subjects, but coA’or the avliolg range of New Zealand. Successive issues of the magazine form a reference library on Noav Zealand history and scenery. The | serious subjects are served up brightly by Avoll-knoAvn writers, Avho have achieved distinction. Other features comprise humorous sketches, stories, original Noav Zealand verse, notes and comments for Avomen, chats on books
and Avriters, and special reading for children. The magazine is distinctly one for the family.
