CUBAN CRIMES
FRAUDS AND MURDERS EX-PRESIDENT CHARGED. OTHERS INVOLVED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 15. A message from Havana, Cuba, states that charges wore laid today in the Criminal Court by Dr. Jose Vega, n prominent lawyer, against General Gerardo Machado, the deposed President, and five of his associates, of alleged misappropriation of public funds, frauds, swindles, homicides, murders, and the use of firearms against certain persons. Those are alleged to have been planned in the Presidential Palace. The others accused with General Machado are his former Secretaries of tin* Treasury, Rtate and Interior, his former Chief of Police and his former Chief of the Central District.
