HELP THE UNEMPLOYED
SWELL THE RELIEF FUND. WILL YOU GIVE HALF A CROWN? The citizens of Whangarci have formed a committee to help to swell the Mayor’s Fund for the relief of unemployment. Its purpose is-to-sup-plement. the proceeds of the Movie and Poster Ball to be held on August 23. The “Advocate,” in order to assist this most worthy movement, has agreed to the committee’s request ro receive donations to the Mayor’s Fund. It is suggested that donations should be restricted to half a crown, though larger sums will, of course, be welcomed. We will be glad to receive donations, which will be published j daily.
