HARBOUR RECLAMATION

TAKAHIWAI AREAS. BOLICY STILL UNKNOWN. Advice has been received from the Minister of Bublic Works to the effect that the future development by reclamation of the southern Whangarei Harbour flats has been handed over to the Small Farms Department. The area concerned is that at Takahiwai ana Takahaka (near Hewlett’s). The policy of development has not yet been decided upon, and Mr A. J. Murdoch, M. 8., hopes to bring the matter to finality when he visits Wellington in about ten days’ time.
