MERCHANT MURDERED
BY BOMBAY KIDNAPPERS. RANSOM HELD TOO LONG. (Received 0.(10 a.m.l CALCUTTA. July 17. The first case of kidnapping for ransom in Bombay was revealed yesterday, when the. murdered body of a wealthy Guzorati merchant, Himatlal, was found on the foreshore. Himatlal left his offices at 9 o’clock in the morning and shortly after a clerk received an ultimatum that unless ."000 rupees were deposited at a certain spot he would he killed. The clerk informed the police, but was apparently too late to prevent the murder.
