In reply to the score of 475 made by West Indies at Cardiff, the Glamorgan eleven compiled'493 (Dyson 407, Duckfield 88. Martin took 5 wickets for 90.

West indies lost two wickets lor 20 in the second innings and the game was drawn.

Yorkshire defeated Lancashire in two days for the first time in 20 years. Thirty thousand spectators at Manchester wore thrilled by Macaulay’s wonderful form. He did the hat trick, ami took four wickets with five balls.

Bowes was barracked for bowling bumpers against Lancashire batsmen. He struck Watson on the face, thus preventing him from continuing his innings, and he was still dazed an hour later. Hurwood was hit on the body. The umpire held up the game until the uproar had ceased.
