ON ELLERSLIE TRACKS.

JUMPERS EXERCISED

(Special to “Northern Advocate.") AUCKLAND, This Day.

Rain overnight made the Ellerslie course heavy and there were no grass tracks available for galloping this morning, most of the work being dona on the sand. Several horses performed well in jumping tasks.

Wee Pat (Garret) jumped two pony hurdles and the stone wall, giving a very satisfactory display. Notamint (L, Dulieu) was sent over pony hurdles and jumped well. Kairuri (Preston) went over the steeplechase fences on the flat. He ran about a little, but his display was good. Absent (Craddock) and -Catoma (Fergus) jumped four hurdles nicely. Absent afterwards led the Day Comet trainee from E. Eay's stable over one flight of -hurdles and the steeplechase hurdles on the flat. Both jumped well. Bright Flower and Tetrarchate went fast over two pony hurdles, the former jumping particularly well. Tetrarchate hit th(j second fence and went back again to take it comfortably. United (Lark) was schooled over the pony hurdles, giving a good display for a beginner.
