The Punjab mail train was derailed 27.1 miles from Calcutta, early tins morning, and it is reported that four people were killed and seven injured. The telegraph wires were out. Sabotage caused the derailment, a length of line having been removed.

Two nights ago an attempt was made to derail the Doll)i-Ahmedabad express, but the driver pulled up in time. Heavy blocks of stone had boon placed on the line.
