OYER-EXUBERANT GREETING. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HURT. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON. Alay 2. Amazing scenes were witnessed today in Liverpool, where TOO, 000 people awaited the return of the Soccer Cup winners (Everton) en route to the Lord Mayor’s civic reception. The police were helpless and the great crowd fought and struggled to get near the players. Hundreds of people 'were hnoched down and trampled on. The Town Hall was converted into a first-aid station for the' MOO who were injured.
