TRADE REVIVAL
Reports from the United States indicate that motor manufacturers are taking definite steps to institute a revival of trade. Advertising of wellknown brands has been increased. Mr Henry T. Ewald, Advertising Advisor to General -Motors, stated recently: —“Newspapers are playing an important part in our plans for General Motors’ various campaigns. They are being used as the chief background to all of our campaigns. So far as the outlook for next year is concerned, we probably will use ns much newspaper copy as we did during the last, one and it business increases our newspaper copy' automatically will be increased.”
