CYCLONIC FURY
TRAIL OF DESTRUCTION. IN NEW CALEDONIA. 7 (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A terrific cyclone which passed over New Caledonia recently wrought extensive damage, according to a wireless message from the Oronsay, which arrived at Noumea, on a pleasure cruise.
The message said there was desolation everywhere. Small ships had been carried high and dry by. tty huge seas, and numerous buildings had been blown down, crops »nd .trees razed to the ground, and the water system dislocated.
