AUCKLAND MEETING ALL-ROUND INCREASES. BIG BETTING RECORDED. (Special to “Northern Advocate. 7 ’) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting was concluded at Ellerslie yesterday. Increases in attendance and totalisator turnover were recorded, the attendance on Saturday being 16,000, an increase of 2000 on the same day last year, and yesterday, 16,300, an increase of 4,300. The totalisator yesterday handled £43,791, an increase of £12,987 10/-, or 42 per cent., on last year’s total of £30,803. For the two days investments totalled £82,678, compared with £64,848 10/-, an increase of £17,829 10/-, or 27 per cent.

At Ellerslie this morning trainers had the use of the No. 2 and No. 3 grass tracks, but there was not a great amount of fast galloping done. The going was in excellent order. No. 2 Grass. Golden Spalii and Marchotte were sent six furlongs, running the first three in 37 4-ss, and the full distance in 1.16 4-5. Both worked well and there was little between them at the finish. King March and Caliente reeled off three furlongs in 375. The former did his work in good style and Caliente also shaped nicely for a novice. King Most or hit. out, freely over half a mile, which he covered in 495.

No. 3 Grass. ►Searcher strode home from the halfmile post in 56 l-3s, doing it very easily. Lady Lucas and Wee Musk ran five furlongs in 1.7, the last three furlongs taking 41 2-3 s. Lady Lucas, avlio is on the improve, was in front at tin* finish. Totrarchato was timed to run the last half-mile of his work in 51 I-3s. Sir Val and Arawa Rose strode over six furlongs in 1.25 1-5.

Gay Marigold did strong work over a round, running her last four furlongs in 53 l-3s.

Roman Mascot, was doing bettor than Court. Haven at tlio end of a round run in 1.37, the final six furlongs taking 1.18 4-5. This was a good effort. Kilmuir and Miss Lulu were timed to run six furlongs in 1.18 4-5. They began slowly and ran their last five furlongs in 1.4.

Others to do useful tasks were:— Gay Broney, Wee Prince, Gold Money, Supreme Ruler, Taneriri and Manawhenua. To Race at Avondale.
