ACUTE DISTRESS
CANA DT AN GRAIN-GROWERS. ALBERTA MOVEMENT. NATION-WIDE STOPPAGE. (Received 9 a.m.) VANCOUVER, November 5. A message from Rumsey, Alberta, states that more than 90 pier cent, of the wheat-growers in that district at a mass meeting unanimously decided in favour of a nation-wide strike of Canadian farmers to take place before the 3933 seeding season.
The farmers of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are to be asked to co-operate. Speakers demanded that the Dominion Government should guarantee to farniers the cost of producing the 1933 crop. At times the meeting became unruly.
A telegram from Calgary states that, as far as can be learned, no other farming community in Alberta has take a stand favouring a strike. IsnthiqqNokFrenchol
