BUSINESS IDLE. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange opened very quietly this morning, and the only sale recorded was one of Renown Collieries £1 shares at 2/0. In the banking section New Zealand’s were steady, with buyers at £2 7/, and no sellers. Colonial Sugars were offered 5/ lower, at £49 5/ and Waihis were available at 18/. Woolworth pref. shares were firm, with buyers at £1 7/, but for New Zealand Breweries the highest bidder -stopped at £1 6/6. In Government stocks 41 ’s were in keen demand at £97 5/. Noon Call.
