■ The winners in the first round wore: J. 1,. Black (Hamilton), H. E. Troutbeck (Napier), A. G. Sime (Westport). W. G. Fisher (Hutt), T. R. McGregor and W. K. Cook (Hutt), H. A. Black (Miramar), and F. C. Fryer (Napier.

ADELAIDE, October 28
A. Toogood won the South Australian professional golf championship to day by two strokes. His rounds were 81, 73, 76, 72—total, 302. Rufus Stewart was second with 77, 73, 79, 75 total, 304, and AA r . Harvey third with 76, 78, 78, 77—Total, 309.
