METHODIST CHURCH

FOURTH YEAR FOR MINISTER. . A special meeting of the circuit officials was held in the Methodist Church on Tuesday night, when the Rev. E. D. Patchctt, chairman of the Auckland District, was welcomed to the chair. Matters concerning the progress of the work of the church were fully discussed, and the prospect of further development provided a spiritual stimulus tor all.

The Rev. E. E. Sage accepted a hearty and unanimous invitation to continue his ministry for a fourth year as superintendent of the church and ciicuit.

In accepting the invitation, Mr Sage spoke hopefully of the future, and slated that he was especially encouraged by the splendid way in winch the young people were developing m Christian character and usefulness. The formation of the combined Bible Class Sub-Union had thrown groat responsibility upon Hie members of the executive Commit lee, bn! Hie young people had embraced their opportunity, and their efforts for the church and the Tvingdom of God were cheering to Itehold.

A similar invitation to remain in the circuit for a second year was accepted by Missioner J. Sands, subject to satisfactory arrangements being made with the country districts in which he has been labouring so successfully.
