SCHOOLBOY KILLED

GIRL GRAVELY INJURED

COLLISION AT INTERSECTION.

An accident resulting in the death of a schoolboy and grave injuries to a voung girl occurred shortly after mid-day yesterday. While cycling down York Place, Stewart Ikin, a Technical College pupil, collided with a girl, Molly Turner, at the corner of Smith Street, and, falling from his machine received fatal injuries.

The street in which the accident occurred is a fairly steep one, and, following the collision, the boy is said to have struck his head heavily on the kerb. The boy died on the way to hospital, and the girl was unconscious on admission. >Sho was suffering from

The boy Ikin was 15 years of age and lived with his parents at Dalmore. The girl’s parents live in Clyde Street. An inquest was opened yesterday afternoon and adjourned.
