ANNUAL MEETING. TWO-DAY MATCHES., \ The annual meeting of the Whangnrei Cricket Club was hold last, evening,! before a fair attendance of members. 1 Mr H. Plewellyn was in the chair. The election of officers’ resulted as! follows; —Patron, Mr E. Ormandy (re-! elected); president, Mr W. McDonald (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs N. : and A. Drummond, H. Plewellyn, Q. Chissell and P, Briggs (all reflected) ;! club captain, Mr H. Wilson; vice-cap-| tain, Mr H. Plewellyn; secretary, Mr! A.; N. Young; management committee, secretary, captain, and Mr H, Plewol- ; lyn; delegates to the Whangarei Cricket Association, Messrs H. Plewellyn : and A, N. Young; selection committee,! captain, vice-captain, and Mr E. Jen- ; nings. General Business. It was decided that the delegates bring up at tho association meeting that all club matches be postponed on the occasion of the English team’s! visit to AucklamJ. The suggestion that two-day matches, be played met with approval, and tlie| delegates were instructed to act accordingly. A unanimous vote of thanks yas extended to the ladies, who had helped in the past season, and to Mr A. N. Young for his services as scorer. The meeting closed at fi.3o p.m. with every prospect of the club being able to put a strong team in the field.
