The only bright features have been the continued demand for Government stocks at late rates and an advance in Bank of New Zealand shares as a result of the recent dividend announcement. At this morning’s call buyers were offering £2 4/3, but holders had raised their limits to £2 (5/3. Australasias were firm, with buyers at £O. Australian issues were dull and lent no assistance to the market. Colonial Sugars were on offer at £3S. A parcel of National Mortgage, £2 shares, were offered at £1 17/.
