IRISH BUTTER BOUNTY
A PROPOSED BILL. (Received Noon.) LONDON, April 15. A Bill is to be introduced into the , Dail on April 20 providing for a bounty' of 2d per lb on exported butter by means of a levy on butter productioii; l lt is believed that the prices in rife British market- will- touch low levels this season. Consequently the heed for assistance to the dairymen is urgent. ■Assuming : that fhe butter.: export bounty beeoiries law; butter traders flu'not expect any effect on the Londonprice or the sales of Australian -fpigw duce. Ireland made inquiries into th'o. working of the Australian bounty, • scheme on which their own level Is based. Consequently it is believed that the only effect will be increased price to Irish consumers, with a ■ resultant benefit to dairymen, though all will share in the payment of the .levy. :
