Mr A. H. Moate, secretary of the Stewards ’ Union, witli the authority of the Maritime Unions, has communicated with the Prime Minister, Mr J. H. Seullin, requesting him to negotiate with the Governments of New Zealand and Fiji with the object of prohibiting the Niagara and Aorangi from trading in Australian waters, in the event of their Australian crows being displaced by foreigners, following the recent merger arrangement with the Canadian Pacific Eailway.
