CAPETOWN FLIGHT RECORD
.AIRMAN CONGRATULATED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, April 7. Lord Amulree, Secretary of Air, has sent a message of warm congratulations to Lieutenant-Commander Glen Kidston on the successful completion of his flight to Cape Town in 64 days. This time breaks all previous records, and Lord Amulree describes the performance as a very fine one. Press comments on the flight tonight iare highly appreciative, and include a suggestion that Commander Kidston may make another attack on the records for the whole, or part, of the South African air mail route on his return journey.
