MOTORING OFFENCES
ENGLISH POLICE CAMPAIGN. OVER QUARTER-MILLION OASES, (Received 10.46 a.m.) LONDON, June 15. The extent of police activity against motorists in England is revealed by the fact that motorists paid over £200,000 in fines last year. Over 250,000 were summoned, and in addition 99,000 were cautioned. Among, the,, offences were the following:—Manslaughter, 74, dr.unkennqss. 1.730,, reckless driving 27,000, whjlc more than 28,000 ivere summonfid; fqr, exceeding the speed limit.
