TAMPERING WITH TELEPHONES
MAN AND WIFE CHARGED. DECISION RESERVED, (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) NAPIER. This Day. Charged with wilfully interfering with telephone -wires at his residence in. Roslyn Road, Arthur Joseph Yeo appeared' before Mr A. Af, Alowlem, S.M., in the- Police Court. His wife, Mona Yeo, also appeared on a similar charge; Yeo preferred to be tried by a jury, but Airs A'oo elected to be dealt with summarily. It was stated that Airs Yeo was the owner of the house and lessee ni two telephones. Evidence as to the manipulation of the wires was given by an officer of the Post and Telegraph Department, discovery of which was made during the police raid in connection with the bookmaking charge on which Ven was recently heavily fined. No evidence was given for the defence, and the Magistrate, reserved his decision.
