WINTER SHOW ENTRIES
NEW RECORD SET. INCREASE OF 416. Notwithstanding the fact that the entries for the chopping events and the dog section of the Whangarei Winter Exhibition do not close until Saturday next, a neAv record has been established, this year’s total of 2922 being 416 in excess of the last occasion, which was a record. The trade space is being quickly booked up and everything points to this year’s show being the brightest and best in the history of the Whangarei A. and P. Society. A few of, the sections show a slight decrease, but notable advances arc recorded in pigeons, farm and garden, fruit, factory butter and cheese, needlework, pot plants and dowers, and school entries.
