Professor D. B. Anderson returned to Auckland by the express today.
The Rev. H. T. Steele, Vicar of Christ Church, Whangarei, has been offered the incumbency of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Auckland, but has decided not to accept it.
Mr A. .1, Murdoch, M.P. for Marsden, loft by the south express today in order to join the National Education Committee of Inquiry at Auckland. He will be absent about three weeks.
Auckland's new Chief Postmaster is to be Mr H. P. Donald, who is now Chief Postmaster in Christchurch. It is expected Mr Donald will start his duties in Auckland in about three weeks’ time. For over' 40 years Mr Donald has served in the Post and Telegraph Department. He is now 54 years old. During the past four years he lias been Chief Postmaster at Christchurch, and before that he held similar posts at Blenheim and Timaru. For six years ho has been the departmental representative oi the Post and Telegraph Appeal Board.
