The shop of W. J. Wilson, grocer, Union Street, Auckland, was burglariously entered last night. The safe was bodily removed. It had been previously cleared of substantial cash takings by the proprietor before leaving. The new dairy factory erected at Moerewa by the Bay of Islands Dairy Company was officially opened by the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Industries and Commerce today. Speaking with regard to the prices obtained at the Wellington ’ wool sales vestorday. the Hon. J, G. Cobbe stat'd that they must be regarded as highly satisfactory. The finer sorts, if course, were suffering by reason ofj the competition of artificial silk, hut the coarser sorts had realised values in excess of the growers’ estimates. As a practical sheep farmer he regarded the sale as being better than antici-j pa ted.

The final musical recital of the Whangarei. Municipal Band’s. 1029 season will.be given in the Town Hall tomorrow evening, when a . selected programme of popular music, including recp.iest items, will be rendered.
