j Mr John Masefield, novelist, poet, land playwright, has gone far afield I for most of his books. Now he has had published by Heinemann a novel of the English countryside called “The Haw'bucks.” Instead of the alien adventures of “Sard” and “Odtaa,” he writes pastoral English romance. His plot is simply the competition of six or seven young bachelors for the hand of a beautiful girl.
