CRUISING CLUB
MEETING OF COMMITTEE
IMPROVEMENTS' TO SHED,
A meeting of the Committee of the Whangarei Cruising Club was held last evening, the Commodore, Mr W. Reynolds, presiding.
It was decided to hold two 14ft and two 22ft races tomorrow at One Tree Point. The 14ft race will be for the Wilkinson Trophy and the other for a trophy and for points in the Patron’s Pennant.
j Arrangements were made for the reeommeneement of the club's dances at Taurikura on Saturday week, and the management will be on the same lines as that of last year. The dance will bo the beginning of a series to be held during the summer. 1 Application is to be made to the Harbour Board to have the club’s jetty battened to prevent dinghies from floating underneath it. It was decided to'procure some new starting flags, A working bee has also been busy constructing several extra lockers in the club’s shed, and more are to be built.
Tonight several of the club's officers will attend .the meeting of the Regatta Association Committee at Onerahi.
