MOTOR CYCLE RACING
AT KENSINGTON TOMORROW,
The grass track meeting of the Whangarei Motor Cycle Club, which was postponed from Labour Day on account of rain, will be run on the Kensington Park racecourse tomorrow, when eight events of seven laps each — approximately 6 1-8 miles—will be decided. Handicaps have been announced for riders in the 500 c.c. class. After their first, race, all riders will be rehandieapped according to their showing. Leading riders will compete in both classes. R. Ranby, who holds the present Dominion h.p, grass championship, and Cass Goodwin, holder of the 850 c.c. world 'title on grass, will both be racing. Ranby and W. Her-| bert, on scratch, give more than aj second lap to the next man, B. Bray, the Whangarei speedster, but Goodwin has a good handicap »in the higherpowered class. In his own race, however, h.e is back on tho scratch mark, conceding the next man nearly two seconds a lap. Should tho weather be fine, an attempt will he made to lower track records. 1
