At the Frankton sale yesterday there was an average yarding of fat and store cattle. Good quality beef was again in keen demand and sold at advanced prices. There was ,an average yarding of fat sheep which maintained late rates. Pigs came forward in average numbers and met with good .competition. Quotations: Fat steers, £l3 10/ to £ls 7/; prime fat cows, £l4 17/ to £ls 2/6; prime fat heifers, £l3 to £ls 8/; fat cows, £lO 5/ to £l2 6/; medium fat cows, £8 12/6 to £9 18/; light, £6 15/ to £7 16/; forward, £5 10/ to £6 5/; store, £3 15/ to £4 18/; forward 2year steers, £7 9/; grade 2-year Jersey bulls, £6 10/ to £8 5/; fat wethers, 36/ to ,37/9; fat ewes, 32/8 to £2 0/3; heavy baconers, £4 2/ to £4 7/; medium, £3 14/ to £3 18/; light baconers and heavy porkers, £3 3/ to £3 10/; light porkers, £2 12/4 to £2 17/; good stores, 38/ to £2 6/; slips, 26/ to 34/; weaners, 16/ to 24/.
