The Vienna correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph "■ says that latest reports give throe killed and 200 injured in the clash at Mare in between the Heimwehr (Fascists) and Socialists. This, together with a previous clash and the Heimwehr leaders’ speeches, is causing anxiety, and an outbreak of civil war is predicted in September when the harvest has been gathered and when the Heimwehr can call on the peasant forces.

The Heimwehr is known to possess large hidden depots of arms, with which the Government has not interfered.

The Socialists arc practically unarmed, but say that the workers will be compelled to take action themselves to defend the constitution and the Republic,
