Various suggestions had boon put forward at different times, but very little interest had been taken in the proposals. J The chairman stilted that a meeting ; had been called some time ago, but I owing to kick of attendance had lapsed, Mr J. H. Hayward said that there had been a real desire 1 to do something, but he thought that, owing to the I National Dairy Conference opening four days sifter, it was perhaps too big a thing to expect vhc provision of cars to show kOO or 400 farmers the countryside. Ho was of the opinion that th(> original suggestion that it social evening- be held was the most feasible idea. There was no time to show them the country, in addition to the difficulty of obtaining cars. it w;is understood that the question would be discussed, at the next meeting of the Countv Council. Various other suggestions wore made, but nothing further was decided upon beyond the itinerary already mapped out.
