SCOUTS’ JAMBOREE
THIRTY THOUSAND CAMPERS. ENORMOUS COMMISSARIAT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. Lieut.-General -Sir Robert BadenPowell was the guest at a luncheon, at which there was a representative gathering, at the Hyde Park Hotel, as an introduction to the forthcoming jamboree of 30,000 Scouts from 42 nations.
Australian and New Zealand Scouts at the jamboree will help to eat 80,000 eggs, ten tons of bacon, three tons of sugar, ten. tons of cheese, three tons of tea, five tons of suet, eight tons of rice, 200 tons of bread and 15,000 packets of cereal, food.
