BRITISH CAMPAIGN PLETHORA OP ASPIRANTS, FAMILY ELEMENT PROMINENT, (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (■Received 8.23 a.m.) LONDON, May 21. The Parliamentary nominations include 08 women, of whom 10 are Conservatives, 25' Liberals, 30 Labourites and three Communists. Mr Ramsay MacDonald's son, Mai colm, is Labour candidate for Bassetlaw.

Mr Lloyd George’s son, Major Gwilyn, and his daughter, Megan, arc Liberal candidates respectively for Pembroke and Angelsey. Mr Arthur Henderson’s two sons are also Labour candidates. Sir Francis Ackland and his son Dingle, are -Liberals contesting respectively Hexham and Torquay. Mr Isaac Foot is re-contesting Bodmin, and his ison is fighting Tiverton. Mrs Harrison Bell, Labourite, is contesting Luton, and her son, also a Labourite is fighting Wood Green. There are two instances of husbands and wives among the candidates. The Runeimans, as Liberals, are fighting St. Ives and Tavistock respectively, while Sir Oswald and Lady Moseley, as Labourites, are contesting Smethwick and Stoke respectively. Sir Hall Caine’s son Ralph, as a Conservative, is re-eontesting East Dorset. Another son, Derwent, as a Labourite, is contesting Everton. Two brothers, Leo and Llewellyn Jones, the former Labour and the latter Liberal, are contesting the same seat iu Flintshire, Mr Ramsay MacDonald is engaged in a 4our-corner fight.at,Seaham. His opponents include a Communist, Mr Harry Pollitt. Mr Lloyd (Jeorge is having a threecornered contest. The “Times” says that the intensity of the election contest is proved by the fact that there are threecornered contests in 444 constituencies and quadrangular contests in 26. There are only 102 straight-out fights, including 70 Conservatives opposing Labourites, 16 Conservatives opposing Liberals, and 14 Labourites opposing Liberals.
