WOOL SALES
FINAL DISPOSAL. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The final wool sale of the season was held today, 13,000 bales being offered to a full bench of buyers. The sale was a fairly free one, though competition was inclined to drag at times, especially for poor wools. Home representatives secured a considerable portion of the catalogue. Continental competition was steady, but generally not so strong as at previous sales.
LONDON SERIES. CROSSBREDS SOUGHT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, March 14. At the wool sales 9094 bales were offered, of which 2SS3 were New Zealand. There was a small selection of merinos and a large and representative offering of greasy crossbreds. Competition was very keen and prices were firmly maintained. Ne'w Zealand: Totnra 19d to 17id; Wiaiotea 184 d to Kid; Strathallan ISltl to 17d; Whannaldnno 184 d to 17Id; S.T. ISKi to 17K1; Ramil I7UI to Kikl; K.S. T.B. 18d to KUd; Takirau 174 d to KUd.
