A prominent Nairobi man, Mr A. S. Palmer, a dentist, stood up in the audience and declared that the photograph ■was one of himself, and that he was the ghost. Ho added that years ago he and his brother arranged to trick a party which was fruitlessly searching their house for a ighost, Mr Palmer said he grimaced before a camera, and as the result of manipulation of exposures a ghostly apparition wa? produced on the plate. Sir Arthur accepted the explanation and stated that he would not show the picture again.
