CRISIS IMPENDING
BAD OUTLOOK FOR COAL INDUSTRY.

.SYDNEY, This Day.
Sir Arthur Duckham and Mr Dougal Malcolm, members of the British Economic Mission, after inspecting the coalfields at Newcastle and Maitland, stated it -was apparent that a serious crisis was impending in the coal industry of Australia. (Sir Arthur Duckham said that unless New South Wales coal could be sold in Australia at a lower price than imported coal, there would he no option but to close the. mines.
