JUDGMENTS GIVEN TESTER. DAY. Judgment by default was given in the following civil cases by Mr J. H, Luxford, S.M., at the Whangarei Magistrate is Court yesterday:—W. D. Hawkins v. M. Gri'ffen, £1 and £1 3s costs; J.’ W Durham v. F. Lawless, £5 7s 8d and £l 14s 6d; Harold Kang v. W. Renner, £l4 2s 5d and £2 18s; James and Whimp v. R. Campbell, costs 7s 6; Simpson Bros. v. J. C. Lowe, £8 Os lid, and £1 jlls 6d; T. o’Hanlon v. W. Renner, £2 18s and £1 7s 6d.
JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Martin Lorich, a judgment debtor, was ordered to pay M. E. Whitelaw, £8 2s 6d and 15s 6d costs, in default 10 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long- as £1 per month is paid. J. Edwards was ordered to -pay James and Whimp, £2l 13s 6d and £1 Is solicitor’is fee, in default 14 days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended for 14 days, Leslie Harris was ordered to pay John Gillespie £2 13s 3d forthwith, or to be imprisoned for seven days, the warrant to be suspended for three days after service. A. Morgan is to pay Marshall and Sons, £6 14s lOd and 15s 6d costs, in default 10 days in gaol, the warrant to be suspended for seven days, J. Edwards was ordered to pay E. Ellingham £36 16s lOd and £1 11s 6d costs, in default 28 days, the warrant to be suspended for 28 days.
