INFANT DROWNED
FALLS INTO A. LAKE,

Doreen Roy don Twomey, aged .17 months, an infant daughter of Roy Twomey, tea rooms proprietor, "was drowned yesterday at Rotorua. Deceased and a sister aged 3 years were playing at the edge of a lake; the father and a, friend being near-by, when a momentary distraction diverted their attention. The .cry of the older child brought thorn to where the younger had fallen into the lake. The body was immediately recovered but, despite medical aid, death ensued. j
