Air Justice Reed left by the Alakura yesterday for -Sydney, on route for a tour of the Near East, including Java, Singapore, Burmal), and India. He will then make a complete tour of the British Isles and the Continent of Europe, returning to New Zealand via Suez in twelve months.
Speaking at the Chamber of Commerce meeting last evening, the acting president, Air A. 11. Crane, paid tribute to the splendid Work done on the Chamber's behalf by Air W. Jones, late member for the district. During his term in Parliament, Air Jones had been actively interested in the -workings of the Chamber, and had been of -great assistance.
