HORAN MAKES ADMISSION.

Further revelations have taken place in connection with the charge against Harold Horan, chief Paris correspondent of the Universal International News Services, who was ordered to leave France because of his despatch .to the Hearst papers in America of a document relating to the Anglo-French naval compromise. The Paris correspondent of the “Morning Post” sqys it is believed that a statement signed by Horan at the Prefecture of Police on Monday Showed that he took a much more prominent part in securing the document than, was heretofore supposed. The Paris police detained and questioned two Frenchmen, said to be Government officials, whom Horan named in his statement. It is believed also that he named a French journalist as an intermediary. A message from Brussels says Horan complains that he was arrested iil Paris like any "criminal. He refuses to return.

In connection with the Horan affair, "Lo Journal ’ ' reports the arrest of a man in a high social position who previously assisted the secret police. Other allusions are made to a per son having association with high-plac-ed persons in the Foreign Office and who also held a position in America. ■ It is .understood that among the names supplied by. Horan to tho police is that of a woman.
"Le Matin” says that one of tho suspects fully confessed, .. "L'Excelsior” alleges that Horan paid £2OOO for the iricriminating ‘document. V.V' -
