Peraino and whaling party of Tory Channel, took lire while chasing a whale in Cook Strait on Saturday. A tow-line was attached to the vessel and she was brought into the channel, but the tow-line was burnt through. The launch was eomplerrl v desi i-oy.-d and the crew wero all saved. The Miss Liberty was one of the fastest crafts in New Zealand waters.
