STRIKE AFTERMATH
RAILWAY UNION BEREFT,
CALL FOR SACRIFICE
(United Service.) (Received 8.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 2. Pointing out that the general strike cost the Railwayman's Union 75,000 members and £2,250,000, Mr J. 11. Thomas warned members that the position was more serious than generally known. The companies had approached the union to face the situation, discuss the whole question, and be prepared to make sacrifices.
