EXPORT OF FRUIT
REPORT OF MARKETING BOARD
LIMITATION OF VARIETIES,
(Australian Press Association.) (Received 11.3(5 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day
The Empire Marketing Board’s re port on fruit export urges a reduction in the number of varieties of apples and pears exported to England. It adds that it believes that some effort is being made in this direction in Now Zealand and recommends that attention should be concentrated on the export of special varieties. The report says that the New Zealand fruit has shown a remarkably low percentage of disease. This is possibly due to more effective grading and control.
